For use of the City of Sherman's online billing and payment service, you (the “Customer”) agree to the Terms & Conditions, which are in addition to the Customer’s service agreement(s) with the City of Sherman. City of Sherman online billing only applies to those customers with valid service agreement(s) with the City of Sherman.
Customer will continue to receive a bill through the regular US Mail. Customer shall promptly notify the City if failing to receive any form of billing. However, non-receipt of a bill or email notification does not void the Customer’s financial responsibility to ensure timely payments.
Customer is required to have a valid email address to complete enrollment. Customer understands that he/she has sole responsibility for the security of Password(s). City of Sherman will not be liable for any actions, claims, costs, damages or expenses arising from a stolen or lost Password.
Abuse of the service or malicious activity will not be tolerated. The City of Sherman and its affiliates reserve the right to suspend or refuse service, terminate accounts, block or terminate payment activity, remove or edit content, or cancel transactions at their sole discretion. Neither the termination nor suspension of your use of this service shall affect your liability or obligations for timely payment of your utility bills to the City of Sherman.
Effective 4/15/17, credit card payments to your utility account shall not exceed $1,000, processed within any fifteen (15) day period. Customer will be charged a convenience fee of $1.25 per transaction for making payment online. Customer may also be charged by his/her financial institution. Customer agrees to pay the convenience fee and authorizes the City of Sherman to charge the amount indicated by Customer to the financial institution and account indicated by Customer. City of Sherman is not responsible if Customer’s financial institution rejects payment. If payment is not successful, additional fees may apply and service may be subject to termination.
Customer understands by enrolling in the City of Sherman online billing, Customer enters into an agreement with the City of Sherman whereby Customer agrees to view and pay for only those account(s) to which Customer is authorized.

This policy also describes other important topics relating to your privacy. We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. We will promptly reflect any such modifications in these Web pages.
We will only collect personally identifiable information (such as name, title, company name, address, telephone number or e-mail address) that you voluntarily provide through our Web site or e-mail correspondence. Overpayments made by the Customer will be credited to the designated utility account and apply to the following billing period. In the event that your credit card was charged in error, requests for refunds or adjustments should be made within thirty (30) days of the original transaction. The period of thirty (30) days begins from the transaction processing date. We reserve the right to revise this policy at any time.
Customer agrees to waive any liability against City of Sherman for any act or omission arising out of the use of City of Sherman online billing, unless caused by City of Sherman’s gross negligence or willful conduct. Customer agrees to not transmit any computer virus or messages that could damage City of Sherman’s system.
Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, applicable tariffs, state and federal rules and regulations, laws, any rules and regulations of a fund transfer system used by the City of Sherman.
CITY OF SHERMAN MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE EQUIPMENT OR SERVICE AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND PROVIDES THE EQUIPMENT “AS IS”.
Customer agrees that he/she cannot assign or transfer the Terms & Conditions at any time without written consent from City of Sherman.
These Terms & Conditions shall be subject to and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and venue shall only be the Courts of Grayson County.
Any unauthorized disclosure, copying, distribution of the proprietary information within the City of Sherman online billing is prohibited and may be unlawful.
